MEET THE DOCTORS
Manfred A. Sandler
Dr. Sandler was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He
received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from
University of Witwatesrand in Johannesburg. Dr. Sandler
furthered his post graduate education work with rotations at
the University of Witwatesrand in Johannesburg.
Dr. Sandler went on to complete his internship and residency at
the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He
completed his cardiology fellowship at the Washington
University in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked as a Clinical
Instructor for one year in the Division of Cardiology at the
Washington University prior to moving to Atlanta.
Dr. Sandler is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and
Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a member of the American
Heart Association, Medical Association of Georgia, and a
Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
Currently, Dr. Sandler serves as director of the Cardiology Department,
director of the Cath Lab, and is the physician service line
director for Cardiology at Gwinnett Medical Center. He is Chief
Medical Information Officer of the Gwinnett Hospital System,
with physician responsibility for introducing computerized
electronic medical patient charts into the hospital system.
