Khalid J. Hayat, M.D.

Dr. Hayat is a highly skilled, board-certified cardiologist with extensive experience in advanced cardiac imaging, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and device management. With a focus on both preventive care and complex cardiac procedures, he is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses a wide spectrum of cardiovascular needs.

With specialized training in nuclear cardiac imaging and trans-esophageal echocardiography (TEE), Dr. Hayat plays a crucial role in diagnosing and managing heart conditions through non-invasive and minimally invasive techniques. His expertise in cardiac catheterization allows him to assess blood flow and detect blockages in the coronary arteries, which can lead to heart attacks if left untreated. In cases requiring immediate intervention, he is also skilled in performing temporary transvenous pacemaker insertion to stabilize patients with dangerously slow heart rhythms.

Dr. Hayat’s expertise extends to electrophysiology, a specialized field that focuses on diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and bradycardia. He closely monitors patients with cardiac devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), ensuring that these life-saving technologies function optimally to protect against sudden cardiac events.

In addition to his technical expertise, Dr. Hayat provides general cardiac care for patients at all stages of their health journey. He works closely with patients both pre- and post-operatively, guiding them through their procedures and helping them recover with confidence. His focus on healthy heart maintenance empowers patients to take proactive steps to manage risk factors such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, and lifestyle habits that impact heart health.

Dr. Hayat’s approach to care is compassionate, thorough, and patient-focused. He takes the time to listen to his patients, explain complex medical conditions in understandable terms, and work with them to develop personalized treatment plans. His goal is to not only treat heart disease but also to prevent it, helping patients achieve long-term heart health through evidence-based practices and lifestyle modifications.
