Dr. Perez was born and raised in northern New Jersey, and lived for many years in suburban Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
He attended Florida International University in Miami for his undergraduate degree, and subsequently Nova Southeastern University for his medical education. He trained in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center on Miami Beach.
Dr. Perez worked as a hospital-based internist at Gwinnett Medical Center Lawrenceville and then completed a Cardiology fellowship at Nova Southeastern University in Miami Dade County, Florida prior to returning to Lawrenceville and joining the CardioVascular Group.
He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He has interests in adult echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography, loop recorder implantation, as well as nuclear cardiology. Dr. Perez is fluent in Spanish and cares for patients in our Lawrenceville, Johns Creek, Duluth and Snellville offices.
